IceWarp Introduces Merak Mail Server Suite 8.0

IceWarp Software is previewing its latest Merak Mail Server at ISPCON this week in Baltimore. The eighth version of the Merak Mail Server Suite targets ISPs needing e-mail that gives subscribers features including integrated spam and virus protection, instant messaging, shared address book and calendar groupware, administrative wizards, monitoring and statistics, enhanced folder management, and toolbar customization.

Merak e-mail and instant messaging can run in secured mode using SSL. Merak creates backups of all communication, including instant messages, so companies can keep operating without downtime or data loss, IceWarp says. The Merak e-mail server also includes built-in, secure FTP and Web server capabilities to share files, and host Web sites over the Internet and intranets.

IceWarp says Merak Version 8 will ship with an automated server migration tool to help administrators migrate current servers to Merak.
