xchange Presents the Best of WiMAX World Europe Awards
2007
xchange is pleased to announce the Best of WiMAX World
Europe Awards winners with a special awards presentation
at the WiMAX World
Europe Conference & Expo on May 30, in Vienna,
Austria. The awards recognize the leaders in the development
and deployment of WiMAX technologies. xchange was tapped
by Trendsmedia,
producer of WiMAX World Europe Conference & Expo,
to sponsor and administer the awards program. Nominations
were open to exhibitors and sponsors of the 2007 conference.
After receiving nearly 40 nominations, an independent
panel of judges determined the best of the WiMAX community
in five categories. New to the Best of WiMAX World Awards
program is the Industry Choice Award. This award was
chosen by the delegates at the WiMAX World Europe Conference & Expo
and represents who among the 13 finalists they feel to
have made the most significant contribution to the WiMAX
community this year.
This year’s judging panel of subject matter experts
include James Farstad, founder and president of rClient
LLC; Adlane Fellah, CEO and founder of Maravedis Inc.;
Carolyn Gabriel, research director of Rethink Research
Associates; Philip Marshall, vice president of wireless/mobile
technologies of the Yankee Group; Craig Mathias, principal
of Farpoint Group; Mike Saxby, group publisher, xchange;
Will Strauss, principal analyst of forward concepts; Eliot
Weinman, president of Trendsmedia – Yankee Group
