Techedge Expands IP-PCS Line

Techedge Inc., a mobile VoIP solutions provider, has expanded its IP-PCS line to include a long-range Wi-Fi base station. IP-PCS is made up of wireless base stations, handsets, call servers and OSS.

The company says the new Wi-Fi base stations and handsets give service providers another way to deploy mobile VoIP services. The added base station is designed for citywide deployments using smart antenna technology to provide 360-degree coverage in NLOS environments.

Techedge is conducting a beta trial of the extended Wi-Fi solution with a local operator in Hangzhou, China.
