Redline to Show WiMAX-Ready Platform

Redline Communications, a broadband wireless equipment maker, is set to unveil its WiMAX-ready product at the WCA International Symposium and Business Expo in San Jose, Calif., later this week.

The platform is called the AN-100U; Redline says it is fully compliant with IEEE 802.16-2004. The AN-100U functions as a base station and subscriber station. The platform will mark Redline’s foray into the residential space since it will serve the access market, the company says.

Redline is a principal member of the WiMAX Forum and now is helping to develop the 802.16e standard for mobile applications.
