Cross Telephone Deploys ADVA FSP
06/20/2007
Cross Telephone Co. has deployed ADVA Optical Networking’s Fiber Service Platform (FSP) 3000RE, the companies said.
The nearly 100-year-old Oklahoma telcom provider is using the FSP 3000RE to deliver 10gbps for its voice, data, video and wholesale services. Maximum scalability for the FSP 3000RE is up to 40gbps on each of 40 wavelengths or 1.6tbps.
Cross Telephone deployed FSP 3000RE platforms at its 14 central offices linked along three optical-fiber network rings. ADVA Optical Networking's solution is able to support all of Cross Telephone's multiprotocol service traffic without the need for in-line amplification of the optical signals between any two central offices, the company said.
The ADVA FSP 3000RE can support regional networks, where reach requirements can be up to 2,000km and spans can reach 160km. Wavelengths can be configured at any node, with ROADM or with fixed OADM filters. ADVA Optical Networking www.advaoptical.com
