Sandy Beaches Software Rolls Out Hosted Billing Solution

Sandy Beaches Software released the latest version of its billing and customer care solution, InTELEbill.net. Their flagship product, InTELEbill, has been re-developed to work in a secure hosted environment, enabling users to access their data anywhere they have Internet access.

“Developing the application in Microsoft .NET provides more flexibility in the program, making it simpler to access, learn and use. We are confident that current and potential Sandy Beaches customers will benefit from this new product,” said Jeff Lytle, Sandy Beaches president.

“The workforce is much more mobile than when we began doing billing in 1989. Now our clients need to access their data and handle customer service calls from a variety of different locations. A Web browser-based application is a lot more efficient than setting up VPNs or terminal services,” said Scott Roberts, lead developer of the software’s overhaul. “While developing the .NET version, we also retooled the program’s navigation. We believe the users will like the new look and feel of InTELEbill.net, as well as the convenience of a Web browser application. InTELEbill is such a robust application it is easy for users to neglect some of the time-saving functions that were previously hidden behind layers of tabs in the Windows application. Enhanced ‘tree views and bread crumb trails’ will help users navigate more efficiently as they perform their daily billing and OSS functions,” commented Roberts.

The program also received other enhancements. The back-end databases were converted to MS SQL Server to improve scalability for larger clients. Now there is one sign-in area for users to choose between InTELEbill.net or InteleCABS, Sandy Beaches carrier access billing module. InTELEbill.net reporting functions now utilize Microsoft Reporting Services, which provides users the ability to schedule reports to automatically run and generate e-mails. InTELEbill clients who market bundled services will notice that setting up rate plans for these services has been simplified to improve data entry accuracy and speed. Additionally, multiple location accounts are easier to manage within the InTELEbill.net program because the accounts’ information is visible on the same screen as the master account.
