ZyXEL Touts MAX-200H

ZyXEL Communications Inc. (Booth 67) has developed what it says is the world’s first 802.16e and 802.11g combo product. As an alternative to cable and DSL, the MAX-200H enables service providers to deliver last-mile wireless broadband access.

ZyXEL’s WiMAX product line comes in several configurations to operate at different frequency bands, including 2.3GHz, 2.5GHz, and 3.5GHz. The ZyXEL MAX-200H is an indoor WiMAX CPE featuring 27dBm high-transmission power and a removable, high-gain antenna for long-range communication. It has built-in firewall/router and a SIPbased VoIP ATA for Internet telephony applications.

The new MAX-200H also has high-speed embedded IEEE 802.11g Wi-Fi and four-port switches to share the wireless connection in a LAN. For service providers, it further has TR-069 and SNMP support.
