Telco Systems Launches Access500 Family of VoIP IADs

06/05/2006

Telco Systems has introduced Access500, a compact family of VoIP integrated access devices for SMBs.

The SIP-enabled solution lets service providers help smaller companies migrate to VoIP by integrating existing legacy equipment – including PBXs, key systems, fax, modems and analog phones – into a carrier’s converged services core.

The Access500 takes digital PBX connectivity, FXS analog lines for POTS/fax/modem connections, and maps them to the company’s SIP engine that interoperates with a range of softswitches including feature servers, application servers, trunk gateways and session border controllers. Telco Systems said truck rolls are avoidable, due to Access500’s remote services activation.

All models provide the following standard features: two DS1s, three 10/100TX Ethernet ports and one SFP optical Ethernet WAN. In addition, the various models support the following features:

• Access505 1 PRI + 4 FXS

• Access512 12 FXS

• Access524 24 FXS

Access500’s flexible uplink options include one or two DS1 and 10/100BaseT Ethernet. A small-form factor allows its 100BaseFX transceiver port for optical Ethernet fiber-to-the-business connectivity. Customer interfaces are 10/100BaseT to the LAN, FXS analog interfaces and PRI/CAS PBX.

The products are expected to be generally available this summer.
