Empirix Launches Active VoIP Testing, Blade Architecture

Empirix on Monday introduced an integrated active testing component in its Hammer XMS solution, along with a new blade architecture for the Hammer FX for complex features testing.

The active testing injects test calls through the network and reports on the results, complementing Hammer XMS’ existing passive VoIP monitoring, which performs extensive media and integrated signaling analysis.

The active addition will offer an end-to-end point of view of the network, and is capable of testing high-level functions, such as reverse call, call forwarding and complex feature testing.
