UDP to provide Carrier Access Billing services to ATX

05/03/2006

UDP has announced that ATX Communications, a provider of integrated voice, data and network security services, will use the GALAXY Carrier Access Billing Services.

The multi-year agreement includes the provision of switched access and reciprocal compensation services.

“After careful evaluation, we selected UDP and its team of billing experts to provide us with important carrier access support services,” said Kevin Furphy, ATX senior manager of billing and revenue assurance. “GALAXY provides us with the extensive functionality we need, and the daily tools and information critical to providing accurate and efficient data to our customers.”

UDP’s Vice President of Customer Services, Shirley J. Craig, said a redesign of UDP’s carrier access billing system platform represents a “state-of-the-art offering that many companies are recognizing as an automated and truly all encompassing solution for reciprocal compensation and access billing.

“Today, with our newly released CABS 2.0, which is SAS 70 certified, we deliver a flexible, table-driven platform that offers data mining and data exporting capabilities,” she added. “We know ATX will experience an excellent level of customer service from our staff of industry experts.”

UDP’s access billing program delivers archived bills and standard monthly reports available for viewing, printing and e-mailing via a Web browser; MSECAB record creation and distribution; Web access to historical AUR and SECAB/MSECAB billing records for data mining or export purposes; flexible BANS and invoice numbering; threshold billing; and more.
