INFONXX Enhances TextDirect Suite

INFONXX, a provider of directory assistance and enhanced information services, announced today at CTIA Wireless 2006 the availability of the enhanced TextDirect Suite featuring the two-way SMS directory assistance.

Such a service allows wireless carriers and MVNOs to offer their consumers branded two-way SMS access to INFONXX's directory assistance service, as well as new marketing opportunities for wireless carriers and MVNOs, the company said.

The enhanced INFONXX TextDirect Suite lets companies offer a carrier-branded short code, directory assistance listing accuracy, SMS ubiquity, and live directory assistance agent back-up, INFONXX said. Using a carrier-set branded short code, consumers can query directory assistance listings by sending an SMS containing the category search or listing's information. A search system then returns an SMS with the listing information.
