ETI Launches Tier One Tool Kit

ETI Software Solutions Inc. has launched its Tier One Tool Kit, a set of software tools to help large telcos offer digital video services.

The company made the announcement at TelcoTV in San Diego.

“Launching IPTV and traditional digital video services offers both tremendous opportunities and big challenges to established, tier-one telecommunications service providers,” says Pete Pifer, president and CEO of ETI Software. “Adding video offers them a chance to generate additional revenue by selling a new service, but many telcos are struggling to rapidly deliver these services without intensive capital technology spending.”

The Tier One Tool Kit connects any IPTV middleware or digital video technology platform to disparate systems, enabling providers to activate, manage and bill video services. The tools also include support for video on demand, Pay-Per-View and a video services order entry and rating module facilitating triple-play packaging. All of the components may be used with existing infrastructure that delivers voice and high-speed Internet services.
