Propel Releases Accelerator 5.1

Propel Software Corp. has introduced Propel Accelerator 5.1 at ISPCON in Baltimore. The new version of the software uses a proprietary compression algorithm to add new features, increase speed and expand server capacity, the company says.

For example, Propel Accelerator 5.1 improves image compression for smaller, faster and sharper images so ISPs can take advantage of improved speed without compromising quality. Another feature in the new version is increased server capacity that provides up to five times as many subscribers per server as Propel’s competitors, according to the developer.

"Propel Accelerator 5.1 provides ISPs and wireless carriers with a compelling way to differentiate their services, drive growth of new subscribers and add a new revenue source," said David Fannin, Propel president and CEO, in a statement.

Propel Accelerator 5.1 will be available in June and will be integrated into all of Propel's acceleration products.
