The inaugural awards recognize leaders in the development and deployment of mobile Internet technologies. Nominations were open to all providers and vendors of mobile Internet technology and applications were selected by a judging panel of experts from the wireless community. In its first year, the awards program has received more than 110 nominations, demonstrating the rapid expansion of the mobile Internet field.
