What?! Amazon Says Best Holiday Season Ever

It truly was a Merry Christmas for online retail giant Amazon.com.

The company calls the 2008 holiday season its best ever. Amazon reports a 17-percent increase on its busiest day this year (Dec. 15) over its busiest in ’07. Best sellers included the iPod Touch, the Nintendo Wii and the Samsung 52-inch LCD HDTV.

But no, sorry, the news apparently wasn’t enough for any academics to declare the recession over.
