Verizon Wireless Maintains Lowest Churn Rate

Four years and counting. New data shows Verizon Wireless had the lowest churn rate among the nation’s wireless carriers in the third quarter ─ the 16th consecutive quarter it’s held that bragging right.

The churn rate represents the percentage of customers who leave their carrier in a month and is an important measure of customer loyalty. Third quarter financial performance announcements ─ the latest was released Friday ─ showed Verizon’s churn rate was only slightly more than 1 percent.
