Verizon Launches WebOffice
11/19/2008
Verizon Business has announced WebOffice. Consider it a hosted turnkey intranet, available for $60-$400 per month. WebOffice is a Web-based tool for business collaboration. The hosted service, which can be bundled with Verizon’s High Speed Internet, FiOS Internet service, or Verizon Wireless Broadband Access, is essentially a private Web site where authorized members of companies, teams, departments and workgroups can share information. Users can also share documents, coordinate calendars, make announcements or have Web meetings. They can set up private discussion forums, and create polls. Also, the service allows users to import calendar, contact or task information from another source such as Microsoft Outlook or Palm.
