Survey: Customers Might Back Ad-Funded Mobile E-mail

A recent survey shows customers might be willing to pay something for a mobile e-mail service, even if it’s already partly funded by advertising. Open-source technology provider Funambol conducted the study. It shows people would accept coughing up about $6 per month ― the study’s average ― for an ad-based, mobile e-mail service.
