Qwest Details Ethernet Service Expansion

Qwest Communications International Inc. (Q) today bolstered its Ethernet services expansion, noting it has launched Ethernet service in 759 cities this year, bringing the grand total in the U.S. to 1,129. Beyond the U.S., Qwest offers Ethernet connectivity in six of the 137 countries in which it provides services.

The Ethernet expansion includes metro and long-haul optical Ethernet and Ethernet Private Line services. Qwest provides Ethernet services over SONET, wavelengths and native Ethernet. And services range in speed from 5mbps to 10gbps.

Qwest’s Ethernet service portfolio is backed QoS functionality and service level agreements (SLAs).
