Platinum Equity, Covad Deal Set to Close

Platinum Equity’s purchase of Covad Communications Group should close in the middle of next month.

The FCC and a number of state public utility commissions have approved the proposed $304 million buyout.

Platinum Equity is paying $1.02 per share.

The companies expect to finalize the acquisition sometime around April 15.
