Pando Express: P2P Outfit Taps Level 3 CDN

Free peer-to-peer software provider Pando Networks Inc. and Level 3 Communications Inc. (LVLT) have joined forces to support NBC Universal 's video download service, NBC Direct.

Pando will, of course, provide its P2P software for streaming and file download whereas Level 3 will provide the caching and download services to accelerate said P2P operations.

Pando reportedly gave Level 3, which it tapped for the NBC job, the highest marks among the CDN providers in terms of download speeds and other performance relative to the Pando technology.
