Open-Source is, Like, Totally Awesome for Nortel

All the cool kids are doing it. Going open-source, that is. Suddenly tech-neutral platforms are all the rage, whether for mobile applications or, as in the case of Nortel Networks (NT), IP telephony. Nortel is buying Pingtel so it can sell VoIP to SMBs. But there’s skepticism among some industry watchers, mostly targeted at Nortel.
