Mobile World Congress: Tuitalk, Boingo Team for Free Speech

02/18/2009

At Mobile World Congress, Tuitalk introduced its new mobile service that lets Windows Mobile smartphone users make free international mobile-to-mobile phone calls over Wi-Fi networks to more than 40 countries.

The company also announced that to celebrate the launch of the application, it had teamed with Boingo to provide users with one free month of Boingo Mobile service. The Boingo Mobile software – a downloadable application for smartphones – simplifies the process of logging in to Wi-Fi hotspots and gives users fast Wi-Fi connection speeds. The company has more than 85,000 Wi-Fi hotspots around the world.

“Our goal is to provide free communications to as many people as possible,” said Oguz Oktay, vice president of sales for Tuitalk. “Offering the Windows Mobile client to our users is the next logical step in towards this goal.”

“We are always looking for new partners to extend the Boingo brand and showcase the ease-of-use of our service,” said Jonathan Mendelson, general manager of Mobile and Product Management for Boingo. “Tuitalk’s mobile application is a great way to showcase Boingo Mobile’s Wi-Fi Network.”
