Mobile Users Should Expect Inaugural Delays

Tara Seals
01/20/2009

As the country counts down to President-elect Barack Obama's historic inauguration today at noon ET, mobile carriers are nervous. In fact, try to hold back on texting, recording video or even making basic calls, they’ve said.

It might be tempting for those thronging the National Mall today to make phone calls and send photos, but the wireless carriers say please, please try to have some self-restraint. Yes they can?
