IPTV, IMS Futures Featured at GMI Event

A busy couple of weeks recently wrapped up at the Global Multiservice Interoperability (GMI) test event in Waltham, Mass.

Seventeen vendors, two national labs and four global carriers took part. Their goal is to make wired and wireless network devices talk to each other by using emerging services like IPTV and others.

Referred to as the “true convergence of services,” The IP Multimedia System (IMS) took center stage at the ten-day showcase.
