ITEXPO: Ingate Partners with Iwatsu on SIP

Iwatsu Voice Networks has added Ingate Systems to its Valued Integrated Partner program (VIP). Iwatsu’s VIP program is designed to offer products and services that provide value-add to the Enterprise Communications Server (ECS), Iwatsu’s flagship call processing solution for small to medium-sized businesses.

Ingate will add its Ingate SIParator line of products to the Iwatsu VIP program. The Ingate SIParator is a device that connects to an existing network firewall to seamlessly enable the traversal of realtime SIP-based communications by solving the Network Address Translation (NAT) traversal issues with the protocol, while maintaining the security and integrity of the enterprise network.

Ingate SIParators also provide Iwatsu’s Enterprise Communications Server access to a wide range of SIP trunk options. SIP trunking is a new application offered by many service providers that rapidly reduces costs by eliminating the need for an enterprise PSTN gateway, unused BRI/PRI capacity, expensive and underutilized phone lines or trunks at remote offices, and by providing PSTN termination in the local area.

Ingate also announced it has enhanced interoperability with SIP trunks this week with the release of Version 4.6.1 of its softwrae for firewalls and the SIParator.
