Government Uses Twitter, Facebook to Stop Swine Flu

As we hear more and more about the millions of Americans that could be sickened by the H1N1 virus – aka swine flu – this winter, the government is using social media to educate the public about keeping its spread as minimal as possible.

The Department of Health & Human Services is distributing a series of Webcasts via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other sites. Children and young adults have been most susceptible to the virus, and they’re also the age groups that frequent social media sites the most.
