Google Invests $10 Million in Renewable Energy
08/19/2008
Google (GOOG) wants to use superheated gases from beneath the earth’s surface to provide a clean energy source that could be used in the United States. A few electricity generators use this heat source in places like Iceland and Indonesia. But most of the heat has been too far below the surface to bring up. That could change. Google is investing $10 million to fund underground research, mapping efforts and a policy agenda. Source Forbes: Looking For Energy, Google Goes To Hell
