Global Crossing Pumps up Partner Program
05/07/2008
Global Crossing said Wednesday it has added new elements to its Global Partner Program, or GPP. GPP 2.0 includes more products, more support and greater network reach. For example, the program now includes six classes of service for Global Crossing’s IP VPN, instead of three. Ethernet, VoIP and collaboration services also now are part of GPP 2.0. Global Crossing said it will add hosting and security, likely in the second half of 2008. Global Crossing has added service reach in Latin America and the United Kingdom, so partners now can connect to enterprises in 690 cities. Finally, the carrier is helping partners with special pricing, dedicated support and joint product development. “GPP 2.0 establishes a new industry standard in carrier-to-carrier partnering to accelerate the time to revenue for global service delivery,” said Camille Mendler, vice president of Yankee Group’s Enterprise Research group. A total of 57 partners now are part of the GPP.
