Forget Small, Give Me a Giant Phone!

03/13/2009

Most cell phone manufacturers are trying to fit as many keys and functions as possible in the tiniest amount of space. Not Samsung – at least, not in Chicago, beginning next week.

It’s not as big as the Sears Tower, but a working 15 by 11-foot cell phone will be available for use in the Windy City’s Fidelity Plaza starting Sunday. Calls can be made and texts can be sent for free. The people from the Guinness Book will be on hand to give it their stamp of approval as the biggest working phone in the world.

The phone is a replica of the Samsung Message phone. Cricket Wireless is the service provider.
