FiberLight Offers 10Gig Ethernet, Wavelength Services

FiberLight has announced the availability of 10gbps Ethernet and wavelength services within metropolitan area configurations.

The company said the offering represents a tenfold increase in its Ethernet service throughput availability and a new offering for wavelengths. The service is available to service provider, enterprise customers, and as a last-mile solution to telecommunications carriers.

FiberLight designs, constructs and maintains an extensive fiber optic infrastructure for a diverse customer base including local and long distance telecommunications carriers, Internet Service Providers, municipalities, utilities, Fortune 500 companies, school systems, local, city, and Federal Government entities.

This new Ethernet offering will round-out the available bandwidth options for FiberLight customers choosing to implement metro Ethernet solutions. FiberLight's available bandwidth options now range between 10mbps and 10gbps.

FiberLight's 10GB Wavelength and metro Ethernet services will utilize the company's existing fiber-optic infrastructure as its primary transport facility.
