Covad Wholesale Names Jeff Brown SVP of Sales

Covad Communications Group announced Tuesday the appointment of Jeff Brown as the senior vice president of sales for Wholesale Carrier Services. Brown will be charged with building and leading a newly organized sales team for the high-bandwidth services.

Brown comes to Covad with more than 20 years of experience in the carrier CLEC and cable markets and brings a proven track record in building and leading organizations while motivating employees to drive profitable sales growth into new markets. His most recent position was vice president of carrier services with Suddenlink Communications, the seventh largest cable MSO. He also spent 11 years with Sprint-Nextel Corp., in various positions, including regional vice president for Sprint Wholesale.

Brown will be based in Covad’s headquarter office in San Jose, Calif.

Covad broadband services are available across the nation in 44 states and 235 MSAs and can be purchased by more than 57 million homes and businesses, which represent more than 50 percent of all U.S. homes and businesses.
