Corning Cuts Back in Light of Bad Economy

The good news just keeps coming ─ nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

Corning Inc. (GLW) announced today plans to cut capital spending this year and next, and has put a hold on hiring. The company, which sells optical fiber among other things, also mentioned it may slow production due to the troubled economy.
