Swirling Rumors: Cisco May Make Run at Brocade

Cisco Systems (CSCO) may be looking to acquire Brocade Communications Systems. Those rumors are swirling around Wall Street this week.

Rumor might become reality because Cisco may want to block Brocade’s $3 billion acquisition of Foundry Networks. The suggested acquisition would also boost Cisco’s standing in storage networking. Only time will tell if this is more than just gossip.
