Calix, Xangati, ClearAccess Launch Software Solution to Speed Network Performance Problem Resolutions

Calix, Xangati and ClearAccess have teamed up to provide a software solution that enables customer service organizations (CSOs) to better identify and resolve network performance issues that negatively affect broadband services such as IPTV, streaming media and VoIP. The server-based solution integrates the Calix Management System (CMS), the Xangati Rapid Problem Identification (RPI) and the ClearAccess TR-069 CPE Management Application. The CMS identifies the precise location of subscribers who call in with performance issues and provides detailed service and device performance information for the other components of the solution. Xangati’s RPI gives CSOs live visibility into application performance problems across the entire broadband infrastructure they manage — sometimes even before subscribers call to report an issue, said Calix. The ClearAccess application also provides CSOs with direct control of the subscriber home network and customer premises equipment beyond the demarcation point so problems can be fixed remotely.
