Birch Wraps NavTel Customer Buyout

CLEC Birch Communications Inc. said this week it has wrapped its acquisition of certain business and residential customers bought from Navigator Telecommunications Inc.

The deal, announced in July, originally was projected to close in October.

Birch now owns customers in new markets including Arkansas, California and Florida. The Atlanta-based company already claimed markets in 29 states.
