AT&T Sells Dobson Assets

AT&T Inc. has finished selling off the wireless assets from its Dobson Communications Corp. acquisition.

The divestiture in rural parts of Oklahoma and Texas was a condition of AT&T buying the regional carrier. Dobson operated the Cellular One brand.

AT&T sold the licenses, network and subscribers in portions of Oklahoma and Texas to MTPCS LLC, which does business as Chinook Wireless.

AT&T closed the Dobson purchase on Dec. 3, 2007.
