Actelis Gets ISO 9001:2000 QMS Certification
01/22/2008
Actelis Networks has been granted ISO 9001:2000 certification for Quality Management Systems (QMS). Recognized by service providers worldwide, ISO 9001:2000 standards are set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a Geneva-based worldwide federation of national standard bodies. “Actelis has made significant progress over the past few years in establishing a dominant market position worldwide. In keeping with our commercial progress, achieving ISO registration serves to validate Actelis’ ongoing commitment to the highest levels of quality and reliability in the products and services we provide to our global customers,” said Dennis Young, Actelis COO. Some of the requirements in Actelis’ ISO 9001:2000 certification included a set of clearly defined procedures that cover all critical processes of the carrier Ethernet company’s business, including the monitoring and auditing of processes in R&D, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, product management, product marketing, and customer support functions. “ISO 9000 registration is not about certification of compliance to a standard, but is more about a philosophy adopted by the company as to how it will run its business in an organized and professional manner, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction in the products and services offered,” added Young. “I am very pleased that Actelis has embraced the true spirit of ISO 9000, and has created the infrastructure, policies, procedures, and self-auditing processes to deliver to our customers the true benefits intrinsic in an ISO 9000 registration.” Actelis www.actelis.com
