CES: Yahoo! Wants to Be Your Only Needed Mobile Destination

More importantly, Yahoo! is positioning itself as the home page for all things having to do with the mobile Web — an enviable position to be in, should it succeed, particularly considering the drive to open access. It also could leverage the portal, if it does become the de facto “essential starting point,” to roll out a lucrative Google-like ad strategy. Yahoo! isn’t pulling any punches; Go 3.0 is in beta on 30 device models, and any device with an HTML browser will be able to use it as well.
