09/26/2007

XO Communications said Wednesday it has unveiled additions to its IP services portfolio.

The new offerings – XO SIP, XO One iPBX and XOptions Flex with XO MPLS IP-VPN – expand the XO IP portfolio to five platforms.

XO SIP delivers converged voice and data services to businesses with IP-PBX systems over a single, high-speed connection. Features include unlimited local calling; unlimited site-to-site calling for multilocation customers; long-distance calling; Internet access in speeds up to 45mbps; optional voice compression; and online management.

XO SIP is initially interoperable with Avaya IP Office and Cisco Call Manager Express with plans for interoperability with additional IP PBX systems soon, XO said. XO SIP also utilizes the BroadSoft BroadWorks VoIP platform.

The platform is launching in Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia and San Francisco and will be available nationwide in early 2008.

XO One iPBX is a managed IP-PBX that allows customers with single or multiple locations to outsource the deployment and management of their premise-based systems. XO One iPBX, which utilizes the Avaya IP Office, Avaya Enterprise Communications Group and Nortel BCM platforms, combines voice and data networking, equipment and professional services in customizable bundles that are managed by XO at the customer’s premise.

XO offers two One iPBX solution bundles – One iPBX 15 for SMBS and One iPBX 50 for enterprises. The SMB bundle provides an integrated voice and data platform featuring the Avaya IP Office with Internet access up to 3mbps, unlimited local calling, long-distance, toll-free, DID, voice mail, Web hosting and additional applications. The enterprise offering features the Avaya IP Office, Avaya Communication Manager or Nortel BCM with Internet access up to OC-X, local calling, long-distance, toll-free, DID, unified messaging and more.

XO MPLS IP-VPN with XOptions Flex, the company’s bundled VoIP service, creates a secure, private voice and data networking platform, the company said. XOptions Flex with XO MPLS IP-VPN provides access options to connect locations and flexible services to prioritize Internet, intranet, extranet, voice, video and mission-critical business applications over a single IP network.
