Brightpoint Completes Acquisition of Dangaard

Brightpoint Inc. said it completed its acquisition of Denmark-based Dangaard Telecom this week.

Brightpoint issued 30 million shares with a value of with a value of $384.9 million of its stock and $100,000 for exchange of all shares of Dangaard. It also assumed $350 million of Dangaard’s debt.

Brightpoint said the combined entity would have handled more than 64 million wireless devices in 2006. The combined entity has more than 3,700 employees and over 25,000 customers in 25 countries.

The deal was first announced in February.
