HiWAAY Deploys Juniper Routers

HiWAAY Internet Services has deployed Juniper Networks Inc.’s M-series multiservice routers and J-series services routers to increase the capacity and extend the reach of its network. The company said it is transitioning to an all-Juniper network.

It also uses Juniper Networks' Secure Services Gateway (SSG) products and J-series routers as part of its managed network service offering.

Juniper Networks’ M-series multiservice routers allow providers to consolidate multiple networks onto a single IP/MPLS infrastructure. J-series routers provide up to gigabit Ethernet performance for enterprise remote, branch and regional offices. Both J- and M-series run modular JUNOS software, which offers advanced services, such as MPLS, IPv6, QoS and multicast, and security like stateful firewall and IPSec VPN.

The J-series services routers support integrated IP telephony using the Avaya IG500 Integrated Gateway.

The SSG products provide security and LAN\WAN connectivity for small branch office and small business deployments that may not have the extensive IT resources and protection from worms, spyware, trojans and malware by using a set of optional unified threat management features.
