CRG West Expands Any2 Internet Exchange to Chicago, Miami, D.C.

CRG West has expanded its Any2 Exchange into Chicago, Miami and Washington, D.C., as the membership of its Internet peering service has grown 30 percent in 2007, with new participants representing content, Internet service delivery and VoIP, the company said.

CRG West’s Any2 Exchange provides Internet peering services for more than 100 participants, and is available to all networks and media providers to interconnect IP or VoIP traffic within an Internet exchange.

“All three expansion points are in markets considered underserved by neutral Internet exchanges,” said John Savageau, managing director at CRG West. “As the Internet protocol continues to become the dominant support layer for Any2 Exchange interactive and on-demand business and entertainment content, exchange points will continue to grow in value. CRG West will continue working with the Internet community, further developing Any2 to meet peering and interconnection requirements of all networks as the Internet continues to dislodge traditional and legacy forms of communication and entertainment.”
