xchange, Trendsmedia Seek WiMAX World Award Nominations

xchange magazine and Trendsmedia are seeking nominations for the Best of WiMAX World USA 2007 Awards.

The awards recognize leaders in the development and deployment of WiMAX technologies and nominations are open to all WiMAX World event exhibitors and sponsors. The winners will be recognized at the WiMAX World USA conference Sept. 26 in Chicago. Nominations are being accepted for consideration at www.xchangemag.com/wimaxUSA2007 through Aug. 16.

The awards will be given in the following categories:

• System Design

• Service Provider Deployment

• Chip Design

• Industry Innovation

• Devices/Peripherals/Application Software

• Muni Broadband Collaborative Deployment

• Industry Choice

Final selection of winners and the Industry Choice nominees will be made by an independent award selection committee of experts. The Industry Choice award winner will be voted on by attendees of WiMAX World USA.

WiMAX World USA, which is in its fourth year, is the largest event in the world for wireless and mobile broadband with a focus on WiMAX. xchange also conducting the Best of WiMAX World USA Awards in 2006 and the Best of WiMAX World Europe Awards this past spring.

“This fall marks a critical year for WiMAX as chip, device and equipment vendors plan to get their products certified,” said Eliot Weinman, conference founder and co-chair. “Our independent advisory board is dedicated to evaluating a wide variety of products and WiMAX network deployments and determining which ones will win these coveted awards.”

WiMAX World USA 2007 runs Sept. 25-27.
