XO Launches Wireless Broadband in Vegas

XO Communications has launched wireless broadband in Las Vegas, the company said Wednesday.

The XO network can deliver services such as high-speed Internet, metro Ethernet and VoIP to businesses over wireless links at speeds of 45mbps to 155mbps. The broadband wireless technology allows XO Communications to expand its network coverage beyond its 366-route mile metro fiber network in Las Vegas, the company said.

Las Vegas is the 12th major U.S. city to get the wireless broadband network, joining Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, San Diego, Seattle, Tampa, Fla., and Washington, D.C.
