xchange, Trendsmedia Seek WiMAX Award Noms

xchange magazine and Trendsmedia, the Events and Publishing Division of Yankee Group that produces WiMAX World Conferences & Expos, are seeking nominations for the Best of WiMAX World Awards. Nominations for the awards are open to all event exhibitors and recognize leaders in the development and deployment of WiMAX technologies. The winners will be recognized at the event May 29-31, in Vienna, Austria. Nominations are being accepted for consideration at www.xchangemag.com/wimaxaward through April 20.

WiMAX is emerging as an increasingly important technology for the continued growth of innovative service provider delivery models. WiMAX World Europe is the largest WiMAX event in the EMEA region, focused on the rapidly expanding wireless/mobile broadband marketplace. Trendsmedia has invited xchange to sponsor the Best of WiMAX awards once again after successfully conducting the Best of WiMAX World USA Awards in 2006. xchange and Trendsmedia will be working with a group of industry experts to select the Best of WiMAX World Europe Awards in 2007.

The awards, which are open to all sponsors and exhibitors of the WiMAX World Europe event, will be given in the following categories:

• System Design

• Commercial Deployment

• Chip Design

• Industry Innovation

• Devices/Peripherals/Application Software

• Muni Broadband Collaborative Deployment

• People’s Choice

Final selection of winners will be made by an independent award selection committee. The People’s Choice Award will be voted on by attendees of the WiMAX World Europe event. Winners will be announced at the WiMAX World Europe event May 29.
