EATEL Uses MetaSwitch Platforms

EATEL has deployed MetaSwitch core switching solutions and unified communications platforms to provide converged services to business and residential customers.

EATEL, a privately owned communications company in Louisiana, is bundling high-speed Internet access, high-definition television with TV and phone services. EATEL is adding a range of IP services, the first of which is TV Caller ID. TV Caller ID is part of EATEL’s innovative FiberEdge TV and phone services and available to customers with regular phone caller ID.

“We were able to seamlessly transition 100 percent of our fiber-to-the-home customer base to the MetaSwitch platform in under 30 days, which is a significant testament to the company’s commitment to our success,” said Ashley Phillips, director of network engineering and operations for EATEL.
