Acme Packet Adds Management Tools to Net-Net

Acme Packet has added several new management tools and more than 20 features for its Net-Net session border controllers (SBCs).

The new management tools include Net-Net Session Analysis System (SAS), which uses RADIUS call detail records to provide session troubleshooting, performance analysis and traffic monitoring; historical data recording; packet trace; and enhanced endpoint management.

The latest release also includes features that ease configuration, fault, performance and accounting management, the company said. They are supported by both the Net-Net OS embedded management system and the Net-Net EMS. The scalability of much of the Net-Net EMS has been improved, Acme Packet said, and it supports Tier 1 SBC deployments of up to 100 nodes.

Last week, the company announced more than 30 additions to Net-Net.
