Sierra Wireless Debuts Additional HSUPA-Capable Devices

02/07/2007

Developer Sierra Wireless on Wednesday introduced new adapters and embedded modules to improve mobile data access speeds for devices that rely on the 3G High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) protocol.

The company said the improvement in uplink speed means users can take advantage of high-bandwidth applications such as Web conferencing and video surveillance.

Some of the newly unveiled products include two AirCard PC cards; two corresponding AirCard ExpressCard modems; and two PCI Express Mini Card embedded modules. All offer tri-band UMTS/HSPA and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE network access for roaming on high-speed networks around the world.

Sierra Wireless distributes its products through resellers.
