ATIS Elects Board Members

ATIS, a technical planning and standards development organization, announced today the results of its member election of six representatives to the ATIS Board of Directors.

The directors-elect will serve two-year terms on the board starting Jan. 1.

Bill DeMuth, vice president and CTO of SureWest Communications, and Trenton Boaldin, president of Epic Touch, were re-elected to serve another two-year term.

Newly elected directors are: Rod Christenson, president of Mid America Computer Corp.; Glen Morten, vice president of Engineering and CTO of Widevine Technologies; Gary Savin, vice president and general manager of the EMC Division for Underwriters Laboratories Inc.; and Arun Sobti, chairman and CEO of IP Unity.

Recent ATIS Board of Directors activities include the identification of industry technical priorities and the launch of directives supporting NGN, IPTV, convergence and other standards initiatives, ATIS said.
